Bellissima*Couture provides beautiful clothing and accessories for your favorite 1/6 scale fashion dolls. Our style is classic, often inspired by vintage and retro fashion. All garments are tailored to the doll and exquisitely finished. Sheaths, skirts, tops and many jackets are fully lined and reversible, giving your dolls many mix and match options.
This is how the website works: Most items are made to order, according to your specificiations. If I have the fabric, I can make you whatever you like, to fit Fashion Royalty, Monograms, Poppy Parker, Silkstones, Vintage Barbie and even Tyler, Gene and Deanna Denton (price for larger dolls is generally $15-20 more than the 1/6 scale version). Generally I can get your order made and shipped within a week to ten days. I will usually have some items fully made and available in the "available now" section as well.
As for me, the person behind Bellissima Couture, I am an Art History Professor in my real life. I have been knitting and sewing since I was in High School and for years made my own clothes (including my prom dress!). I only started sewing in miniature in 2004 and began by making miniature reproductions of people's wedding dresses. It wasn't until 2007 that I began sewing in 1/6 scale, and that is the size that I prefer. However, any fashion you find on this website can be made in either 1/4 or 1/6 scale, provided I have the fabric.
